$16.19The Story
The Mediterranean trinity of the grape, the fig and the olive has been written into the history of The Minervois since the early Roman times. The old windmill towers and the millstone works above La Livinière are testimony to this. St. JOHN is but a blink or two in this history but on the day we opened our doors at Smithfield we served lucques, the celebrated crescent olive of the Minervois. So, “enfin” as one might say, we are now the importers of the wonderful extra virgin olive oils of Oulibo, from Bize-Minervois, and it’s about time!
This limited cuvée has hints of green banana and mango, ideal for your freshly cooked pasta, with floral and grassy notes giving a freshness that has many uses in the kitchen. To impart that extra note, or just to be simply enjoyed as a dressing. A delightful olive oil.
